How to Access Data

Final, weighted Year 1 data (and associated files for linkage) are anticipated in early Spring 2025. Detailed access instructions and training materials are forthcoming. 

De-identified, public use versions of all NDWS survey data will be available through the National Archive of Computerized Data on Aging (NACDA). 

Access to the linkable NDWS surveys and associated data sources will be provided through the secure NIA-supported Linked Information for Knowledge on Aging Enclave (LINKAGE) data platform.

Documentation for the finalized surveys and associated linked data will be available through this website so researchers can be prepared to use the data once available. 

In addition, we will provide resources and consultation to help researchers navigate the data use agreement (DUA) process to access NDWS data. 

NDWS aims to make the data easy to use for researchers who don’t have experience working with raw claims and assessment data.
